About Oros
Businesses carry risks that standard financial instruments do not cover. Oros arranges bilateral contracts between those businesses and institutional counterparties willing to take the risk. We never warehouse principal risk.
We are early. Each deal helps us build better ways to price, structure, and settle event contracts. AI makes work that once required a large team possible for a small one.
The role
We’re looking for a commercial leader to turn corporate exposures into signed risk-transfer transactions and build the commercial function around that work.
Each opportunity starts by gaining a deep understanding of the client, the business risk they carry, and isolating the unmet needs across their risk and treasury teams. You will work with our quantitative and engineering teams to define the evidence and price, work with counsel to shape the terms, and build the case for the client, partner, and capital provider.
You will take over active client and partner conversations. You will first lead them alongside the CEO, then run them on your own. You will also build the pipeline, materials, systems, and team needed to make origination repeatable.
What you will own
- Originate corporate demand. Build relationships with CFOs, treasurers, risk officers, procurement leaders, and operating executives whose largest exposures have no clean hedge.
- Run transactions from discovery through close. Qualify the exposure, define the commercial need, coordinate product work, lead the proposal, negotiate terms, manage diligence, and work with counsel through execution.
- Lead the client process. Prepare and run meetings, ask the questions that change the product, handle objections, set the next decision, and maintain trust through a long and complex process.
- Build the case for each transaction. Turn quantitative research, contract terms, and customer economics into clear meeting briefs, decks, one-pagers, proposals, and recommendations.
- Develop distribution and capital partnerships. Build productive relationships with banks, brokers, advisers, and capital providers that create demand, improve execution, or add risk capacity.
- Build the commercial system. Establish qualification rules, account plans, CRM discipline, pipeline reviews, forecasts, reusable materials, and the basis for the team that follows you.
What success looks like
- You create qualified opportunities and convert them into signed transactions.
- You can lead senior client and partner meetings without constant support from the CEO.
- Each live deal has a clear economic case, decision maker, next action, owner, and path to execution.
- Client needs reach the quantitative, engineering, and legal teams as precise product requirements.
- Partnerships produce qualified demand, capital access, or better execution rather than meetings without a result.
- Oros gains a commercial process that another strong hire can learn and use.
What you bring
- A record of closing complex financial or enterprise transactions involving several decision makers, detailed diligence, negotiation, and legal work.
- Experience creating your own pipeline and owning the full commercial cycle rather than relying only on inbound interest, an established brand, or a separate sales team.
- Credibility with senior executives. You can lead a meeting, diagnose the real problem, challenge weak assumptions, and ask for a decision.
- Strong analytical judgment. You can understand our contract specifications well enough to explain them accurately and know when an expert must decide.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- High ownership in an unclear setting. You build the process as you run it, keep an honest view of the pipeline, protect confidential information, and finish the work.
Useful experience
- Experience in structured products, derivatives, commodities, insurance, reinsurance, corporate treasury, investment banking, or institutional markets.
- Experience working with ISDA documents, bespoke financial contracts, or counsel on complex commercial agreements.
- Experience building an early commercial function, including CRM, qualification, forecasting, collateral, compensation, and hiring.
How we work
Work closely with a small team and own the follow-through. Explain your thinking clearly, challenge assumptions, and give direct feedback. Every contract needs a precise trigger and a publicly verifiable resolution source.
We review what each deal teaches us and turn repeated work into tools, evidence, and contract structures the next deal can use.
